Wi-Fi Issues on iPad Tracked to DHCP Bug

There has been much fuss made over the iPad Wi-Fi issues that so many early iPad owners have been reporting. Specifically the problems have been described as “issues with unsteady and intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity”. It seems now that the problems have been traced back to an issue with the way that the iPad handles the release and assignment of DHCP addresses. Originally experienced by iPad owners on the Princeton University campus, the IT department of the school claims to have gotten to the bottom of the issue.


To give you a little bit more insight into what iPad users have been experiencing, many report the signal strength of their Wi-Fi connection going up and down unexpectedly, even if standing right next to a wireless router.
