Last Thursday, Apple announced the availability of the new Apple OS 4.0, which is set to usher brand new features. Here a quick run down of the Top 5 features new to the iPhone OS 4.0. The main highlight of the new OS 4.0 is (true) multitasking- users and developers will be able to switch back and forth between applications without having to shut down the app entirely to access another one. Double-clicking the home button, will show all the apps that are running. However, only the 3GS and the 3rd generation iPod Touch will be able to multitask due to hardware limitations. |
