Unofficial VLC app for Android: Play every video formats

VLC media player is something that every video enthusiast knows about. It is recognized as one of the most popular video players for desktops. It is a very convenient video player, which plays almost all types of audio and video files. The VLC app for Android is currently under development, but you can enjoy its unofficial version by XDA Developers.

This version has entered the Beta phase now and can run on the Android devices with Snapdragon S2/S3 Cortex-A8/NEON, OMAP3 Cortex A8/NEON, OMAP4 CortexA9, Snapdragon S4 Cortex A9, Hummingbird CortexA9, Tegra 2 Cortex A9, and Snapdragon S1 ARM11 processors. Most of the devices that presently run VLC are the smartphones launched in the past one year. So if you have a latest smartphone, you may check if the app works properly on your device or not.

This unofficial version is not supported by the VLC team. It has been launched for public trials and works on selected hardware devices only. To install this VLC app for Android on your phone, go to Apps and select Settings and then install. If your smartphone does not support this app, then you will have to wait for the final version of this app as there is no news about the launch date the official version.
