Instagram for Android - the popular and much awaited photo sharing app has been launched on 3 March 2012. The app for android devices is now available for free download on Google play. It works with Android version 2.2 and higher, which support OpenGL ES 2. This app was honored by Apple as its ‘App of the Year’ for 2011. It has more than 30 million users; four months ago it was 15 million. Instagram is available worldwide in English, French, German, Chinese, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Spanish and Portuguese languages. It includes 100 percent free custom designed filters and borders. Lux helps making the photos more vibrant and shows the details of the photos. Using this app, you can share your photos instantly via Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and Foursquare. It also allows you to ‘like’ and post a ‘comment’ on your friends' pictures. This app has full front and back camera support. Many other features are included. The first version of Instagram for Android lacks some features that are available on IOS devices like Tilt Shift / Blur, Live Preview, Share from Feed and Share to Flickr. It is expected that the future versions will not have these shortcomings, and the Android version will also offer the same functionalities. Moreover, the differences are minimal; the filters and how to interact in the community Instagram are similar to the IOS version. Overall, it is an excellent application to take great pictures and share them. Video of Instagram for Android App review from youtube: |
