Notification Area of the computer is the area located in the right corner of you taskbar (When horizontal) or bottom part of the taskbar (when vertical). The area consist of icon like network connection icon, action center icon, sound icon etc. Also when system has to notify about something then the usually gets displayed on the computer screen attached with the Notification area. A user is allowed to create the shortcut of the Notification area icons, which means all the icons (program shortcut, link) appearing in the Notification area can be accessed using the shortcut. Creating the shortcut is a simple task. There are few steps mentioned under to accomplish the task of creating shortcut for Network Area Icons.
