Norton from Symantec has recently announced that it has partnered with Samsung to offer Norton Mobile Security with a free subscription of 90 days for Galaxy Smartphone users across the world. Norton Mobile Security combines anti-theft features with powerful antimalware in order to protect the important data from loss, viruses, thefts and other threats. It will be available in multiple languages for the Galaxy smartphones through Samsung Apps. It has many brilliant features like Remote Lock, Remote Wipe, Anti-malware, SD Card Scanning and Automatic LiveUpdate.
The Remote locate feature shows the location of your phone. Remote lock feature lets you lock your phone remotely if it’s lost or stolen to keep your data safe. Remote wipe feature allows remotely erase any personal information on your phone. Also, when the SIM card is removed or replaced the phone gets locked instantly, so, it can’t be used with another SIM. You can scan all apps and files which downloaded on your mobile through the anti malware feature. It detects and removes the malware automatically without slowing down the system. The SD Card Scanning feature automatically scans memory cards for threats. Automatic LiveUpdate downloads and installs security updates automatically on your phone.
When the free subscription period is over, users will have to purchase a one year license for $29.99 that is around Rs. 1,519. Users can download Norton Mobile Security from the ‘Tool’ category under Samsung Applications or by entering ‘Norton Mobile Confidence’ into the search query at the Samsung Apps. Norton Cellular Security supports all Galaxy Androids including Galaxy A, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S2 LTE, Galaxy Neo and Galaxy S Hoppin. It will be available in nine languages including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and also Traditional Chinese.
