More than a dozen browsers are available for Android, in fact, many are available at free of cost. There is a little difference between them, but Opera is a browser that has always beaten out others due to its excellent features. Opera has just published an experimental release of Opera Mobile which supports browser extensions. The company has also published APIs and guidelines for would be developers. This experimental build can be downloaded at Opera’s developer blog. After the Mozilla Firefox Mobile and Dolphin HD Browser, Opera Mobile has become the 3rd mobile browser to support extensions. Opera also claims that extensions can run on the mobile as well on the desktop versions of Opera with the same code. The company is also developing an Opera Mobile emulator to be used on Windows, Mac, and Linux making it easier for developers to test the extensions. Opera has also released a video describing the new features that are included and can be used by the users or developers. However, Opera doesn’t commit to include the extension support in the final release of the Opera Mobile browser. It may depend on the feedback received. Users can visit the Opera website to get more information and download the latest Opera Mobile apps. Video of Opera Labs: Mobile Extensions from youtube: |
