Good news for the customers those who had purchased a computer (PC) on or after June 26, 2009 and till October 21, 2009 at their local Best Buy store as they are likely qualified for a free upgrade to Windows 7. The official website www.bestbuy.com/windows7upgrade provides free Upgrade Windows 7.

The PC must be loaded with Windows Vista (Home Premium, Business or Ultimate) to get an upgrade to Windows® 7 when available by www.bestbuy.com/windows7upgrade. To go to their upgrade page, just click on your manufacturer. Please read the information thoroughly as necessities to receive the windows upgrade 7 may differ by manufacturer.

You can upgrade from any two options given below:

  • From any Best Buy store, buy a Geek Squad with $39.99 and then you can receive free Windows 7 Upgrade installed with all required updates. The offer is valid through January 31, 2010 or while supplies last.
  • From your PC manufacturer, request a copy of Windows 7 including Sony, Sumsung, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Gateway, Asus, Acer, and more. For full details, go to the official website of the venders and submit your request or see www.windows.com/upgradeoffer.

Windows 7 free upgrade

Best Buy and Microsoft makes it extremely difficult to order a free upgrade of Windows 7. It appears they want their Geek squad to get addition business and money instead of allowing the buyer to install the upgrade their self.
