To shut down the satellite, so many attempts have been done by Intelsat (the owner of Galaxy 15) but remained unsuccessful. Then, they started to focus on avoiding signal interference by working with other service providers and broadcasters. After a long wait, on December 23, the battery of Galaxy 15 pointed directly towards the sun for producing power as it run by solar panels and finally the Galaxy 15 reset itself as designed and started accepting signals from Intelsat’s control center.

“The most critical phase of Galaxy 15’s recovery has been successfully completed. After we complete the initial diagnostic tests on Galaxy 15 and the drift of the satellite stopped, we expect to relocate the satellite to an Intelsat orbital location where we will assess the viability of the payload, and conduct extensive in-orbit testing to determine the functionality of every aspect of the spacecraft”, said by Intelsat officials.
