Renault Pulse petrol launched in India, starting at Rs 4.25 lakh

Another new car rolled out from Renault in the Indian automobile market. The wholly owned subsidiary of French car maker Renault has launched the petrol variant of their wonderful hatchback Renault Pulse in India, whose pricing is started at Rs 4.25 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Back in January during the Delhi Auto Expo, the company had launched the diesel version of PULSE in two trim levels powered by the 1.5 litre, K9K diesel engine. As the Renault Pulse is based on the Nissan Micra, it is powered by the identical 1.2l, 3-cylinder 79PS petrol variant from the Micra. The petrol engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and delivers maximum power of 76PS@ 6000 rpm and peak torque of 104 Nm@ 4000 rpm. The Pulse is priced a little bit higher compared to the Micra.

The Pulse petrol is being offered in 3 different variants: RxE (Rs 4.25 lakh), RxL (Rs 4.99 lakh) and RxZ (Rs 5.55 lakh), and the new car comes in 6 colors: Metallic Red, Metallic Silver, Metallic Grey, Pearl White, Solid Black and Champagne Gold color. The Pulse symbolizes Renault’s idea of bringing reasonable cars with modern technology and sporty, dynamic design. Renault Pulse petrol is a supreme introduction of the Renault world to the adolescent and aspiring Indian customers.

The base model RxE is packed with fundamentals such as an electronic power steering, central locking, follow-me headlamps, air conditioning, driver airbag, etc. Besides the RxE's features, the RxL consists of an integrated audio system, front and rear power windows, and rear wash and wipe. In addition to the RxL's features, many other features are included in supreme RxZ model like front fog lamps, start-stop button, ABS with EBD, rear defogger with timer, a passenger airbag, climate control, smart access key and electric-folding ORVMs. Just like other products from Renault India, The Pulse petrol comes with a Complete Care package, which provides 2+2 year/80,000 km warranty as standard together with other benefits including 24X7 roadside assistance, navigation assistance, Concierge services, etc.

This new car is being designed at Renault’s studio in Mumbai and manufactured locally at the Renault - Nissan Alliance factory situated in Oragadam on the suburbs of Chennai. Now, the company is looking ahead to launch the entry level SUV from Renault - Renault Duster, which is estimated to be launched somewhere in the mid of this year 2012.
