The Lexus ES has been of one of the best selling Lexus sedan since years. The company is preparing for the arrival of the new ES Lexus Hybrid Drive known as ES 300h, which is expected to hit the showrooms of US for the first time by next month. Lexus has announced the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for 2013 ES 350 and ES 300h. The 2013 ES 350 sedan will have a MSRP of $36,100 showing a decrease of about 1.7 percent compared to the previous MSRP whereas the ES 300h hybrid sedan will have a MSRP of $38,850. However, the MSRP will not include processing, delivery and handling fee of $895. The all-new Lexus ES 300h will feature a 2.5-liter 4 cylinder Atkinson cycle engine. ES 300h will produce 200 total system horsepower. It is expected that ES 300h will receive an approximate EPA fuel economy ratings of 39 mpg highway, 40 mpg city and 40 mpg combined whereas the ES 350 generates 268 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 248 lb-ft of torque. It is powered by 3.5-liter V6 engine along with a Dual VVT-i. ES 350 has a fuel economy ratings of 31 mpg highway, 21 mpg city and 24 mpg combined. The Safety features in the 2013 ES includes 10 airbags standard, optional lane-departure alert, pre-collision radar based automatic obstacle detection, blind-spot monitor system with rear cross-traffic alert and Lexus Safety Connect with roadside assistance is also present. Both the car sports a Drive Mode selector to provide an alternative between the eco, sport driving and normal modes. The entertainment tools for both the Lexus ES include USB/iPod connectivity, integrated SiriusXM satellite radio and Lexus premium sound system. |
