Panasonic has given its innovative gift, NAB 2012 in form of its new microP2 memory cards. This new memory cards with SD card form factor contribute to the latest trend of Panasonic for lower-cost media along with the higher-speed. Panasonic also introduced the microP2 Card adaptor to ensure that the newly introduced microP2 cards with 64GB and 32GB capacity can function in present P2 hardware, along with this P2 Solid state memory Cards. There are many other flash memory options available in the market, most probably USB thumb drives and the SD card are in demand and now Panasonic is also preparing to compete with other memory cards by releasing this new series of MicroP2 cards with Adaptor.

Micro P2 SD Cards are expected to offer elevated consistency, the writing assurance of all P2 frame rates, formats and codecs, speedy transfer of data in addition to latest compression platform of Panasonic. The E-series memory cards with codes AJ-P2E016XG, AJ-P2E032XG and AJ-P2E064XG and availing AVC-Intra200 mode of AVC-ULTRA will be made available by 2013. Panasonic states that P2 solid-state memory cards will result equivalent high-quality audio, video and metadata recording even for intense temperatures, fright and vibrations. These cards will be useful to professionals as it provides easy, speedy, excellent dependability and smooth functions with file-based system.

John Baisley, Executive Vice President of PSCNA stated that solid-state recording format was initiated 10 years ago and Panasonic is improving it every time. The improvement of P2 adds a new advancement to all the products containing microP2 card which are around 250,000 products all over the world. It has been rumored that microP2 card and microP2 card adaptor will not be applicable to all the P2 devices and current P2 hardware will be mandatory to use it. These new MicroP2 Solid state memory Cards will step in to the market by the second quarter of 2013. Till then, we have to just wait and try to know more facts about these cards.
