Aston Martin, the British manufacturer of luxury sports cars, is planning to officially announce the V12 Vantage Roadster later this week. With only few days left for the announcement, few photos of the V12 Vantage Roadster have been leaked online. However, these photos are not official. This modern sports car will be a limited model with just 101 units. The production of these cars will begin by the end of this year 2012. Till now, there is no info about the price and availability of the V12 Vantage Roadster. On the other hand, it is also believed that the V12 Vantage Roadster will enter the market with a price tag of around £150,000. The V12 Vantage will be powered by the same engine and gearbox as the coupe version, i.e. a 6.0 liter 12-cylinder engine controlled by a six speed manual gearbox. This engine can provide an output of 510 HP and 570 nm of torque. With this engine, it will be able to dash through a speed of 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds and its maximum speed will be 305km/h. Besides this powerful engine, the V12 Vantage will get modified front & rear suspensions, revised luggage lid, and rear spoiler. Plus, this model will sport a new carbon fiber aero kit, which will consist of additional air inlets on the hood. The V12 Vantage will get a soft top in addition to lots of carbon fiber elements for both interior as well as exterior. Other design elements for exterior of the V12 Vantage includes carbon mirror caps, carbon side strakes, carbon rear lamp infills, new forged alloy wheel design, black border around rear lamps, and Aston Martin logo with a black background. Moreover, the interior of the car will also be modified to make it more stylish and attractive. In the interior, instead of black plastic, the V12 will have glass switches in the lower part of the centre stack. For detailed specs of the V12 Vantage, there is no option other than waiting for its official announcement. |
