ZTE Grand X LTE T82 is 1st ZTE's Single-Chip LTE Smartphone

On 19 June 2012, during the CommunicAsia2012 at Singapore ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions announced the launch of a new smartphone. The ZTE Grand X LTE is the company’s first single chip LTE handset. ZTE is the first company to use the single-chip solution in a handset. The device looks quite impressive and runs 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The device comes with Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform.

The 8 megapixel rear camera is capable of shooting and playing back full 1080p HD videos. Additionally, the front camera also comes with 720p capabilities. The Grand X LTE (T82) is packed with a 1900mAh battery, which the company claims to have a large-capacity. The handset has a unique buttonless design that resembles a mini tablet PC.

The Grand X LTE (T82) supports WiFi. The company also displayed other LTE products at the event. These include the V96A LTE tablet (world’s first TD-LTE/EDGE multi-band UFi product), the MF91 and the MF821 LTE wireless network card. The V96A will be available in Asia Pacific and Europe in third quarter of 2012. The price and release date of the Grand X LTE (T82) have not been unveiled officially.
