I love this phone. Never freezes up, all droids batteries have short charge span. It lasts me all day. Love the option of a hard keyboard and the touch keyboard. I had an old antique cell phone before this one and it was an easy transition.

regarding the payphone- I hear ya, but now most payphones (if you can find one) are 50 cents and after 15 minutes they hang up on you. BTW - I still have an old Western Electric rotary phone in my house - still running strong!

Download the Advanced Task Killer application. What drains the battery is the fact that the phone opens a good dozen apps automatically and leaves them running in the background. With the Advanced Task Killer app, you can kill those and maintain your battery life. I do it any time I exit any app, and any time I power up my phone. I went from losing 20% of my battery by noon to losing 20% over the entire day just by doing that. Using the internet a lot will also drain your battery more quickly, as will apps like internet radio.

My only issue with the phone was that it kept telling me to insert an SD card even though one was in it. I'd have to pop it out and put it back in, then redo it all a little while later. T-Mobile gave me a new card and the error is gone.

I have had to master reset my mytouch 3g, get a new sim card and finally get a replacement. It freezes, won't dial out, drains the battery within 9 hours (It looses 20% or more of its power just sitting there overnight)and now it telling me I have no service when all my other phones do (remember, new sim card). I am so over this phone it is not funny.

Yes, I took my myTouch 3.5mm back to the store after 1 week because the battery could barely get me through 5pm. My first myTouch (without the 3.5mm) had no problem making it through the day and into the next morning. I took it back to the store for trouble shooting and the guy there gave me a replacement battery to try out to make sure its not just the battery. I swear though, the battery charges fast and dies fast, much worse than my original myTouch. :(

Well, I was just wondering if you thought the Samsung Behold 2 or the MyTouch 3g was better...they just BOTH seem like great phones. What do u guys think?? I don't know which one I want to buy!!

This is my 3rd. My touch in a month the phone is great if it didn't always have to send it back for one stuiped thing or another like my home button doesn't work all the sudden, then my security won't work and I can't get my text messages. This is the chance before I change phones.

Haven't ever had that problem. It has an automatic lock (and screen display shutdown) that kicks in after about 5 sec. The menu button would have to be hit, followed by the green dial button, which would have to be hit twice, in the few seconds allowed, in order for it to automatically dial your last phone number. You can set it for a touch screen unlock pattern if you are really concerned.

This is my second my touch.. I really can't say that theres been some changes. Really like it, but it just keeps on messing up on me.I don't have more than 20 apps. soMetimes I am forced to close app. Good phone. Many flaws.

This isn't much of a comment but, I can't seem to find out how to save the music I download from the web broswer.

This is really a good phone fully customizable but I want to see more apps they should make. I hope they make an app for flash cause flash can be use in Alot of stuff like for web. Browsing etc.and last I would like to see more games. 3d games like racing and stuff like I phone.but all in. all this is a good phone.

I agree with you with the freezing. It is caused by 3rd party applications. You just have to uninstall them. It is a phone for people with at least a little knowledge of computer as you may have to troubleshoot at the begining but after that iphone can't compare. As for listening to music while charging, you just have to unmount the sd card.

Look everyone. In any board for any phone, you will read both positive and negative things. Pay attention to those things that are mentioned by the majority and whether that "thing" is a defect or just someone not liking how something works. What one person like or dislikes has nothing to do what you will feel. A while back I had a MT3G and sent it back but only because I wasn't up for adjusting to the onscreen keyboard. I'm getting another one now to go with my BB9700. While I know the typing will take some major getting used to for me, the rest of the phone was pretty great. I had it for 10 days and I don't recall it every freezing up. The only problems I ever had were due to whatever app I installed. So, you just uninstall it. No big deal. The only real comment of a negative nature I'd make is that they could have done better with the camera but again, it's opinion and not everyone cares about the camera. The browsing and e-mail experience was great and it integrates with Google wonderfully. If you really want to try this phone then try it! You do have a remorse period to send it back. Just be aware of it.

I heart It!!! The only thing is that it didn't really come with a lot of instructions but that's ok bc the internet is at my finger tips!

Love this phone........it is sleek looking. I don't find much lag or any problems. I run my blog, Facebook, and many applications with no problems. Love the application i music......... I don't even need my ipod anymore. I also loved my G1. No keyboard takes a minute to get used too, well worth it!

i am getting this phone for Christmas and it looks pretty awesome. are most of the apps they have on it free??

i still like my pay phone its only 25 cents a call and its always in the same place and theres a soda machine right next to it sweet

I love myTouch 3G phone. Bunch of nice apps and the phone looks sexy. Mine freezes too but because of too many apps running (in my case imeem takes a lot of memory and does not let other apps run in parallel) but I use taskkiller app to clear things and never reboot it.
I live in North California so 3G coverage is awesome and I am glad that I am staying away from ATT mobile (and Cingular), I have used them for 5 years and that is more than enough. Besides I am saving lots of money on the plan.

I've had no problems with this phone, its quick and easy. Enjoy texting on it and using the web. Perfect little phone =)

I want the phone soooo bad, but I see some ppl say the screen freezes, which makes me a little catious about getting it :( I still want it though.

is the text messaging in chat form? does it show messages as chats with the individual people like the iphone and the palm centro, or does it just have a huge list of all the messages that are incoming?

I just got mytouch and its awesome phone.Sleek,good application,battery life,camera,Corporate email.I liked it much better than iphone!!!!and yaa Tmoble 3G speed is much better.

T-Mobile MyTouch 3G has speed data network and it's 3G network using the 1700/2100 MHz frequency.

Some of the hardware improvements made like faster and high RAM, a faster processor, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.2" screen, and better battery life and physical querty keyboard.

Another improvement is that the My Touch comes with the Cupcake Android 1.5 firmware.

So, overall, the improvements are in the hardware. You get a faster, lighter, thinner phone, sans the physical keyboard.
