A new Android smartphone from Sony Ericsson is being prepared to come in the market. Sony Ericsson has recently introduced its latest smartphone Live with Walkman in the Indian market. This is the 2nd generation Android smartphone in the Walkman series after Sony Ericsson Walkman W8. The price tag of this device is Rs. 14,549 in the Indian market. Sony Ericsson Live With Walkman is packed with a 1GHz single core Qualcomm Scorpion processor with Adreno 205 GPU and it runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, as well it is planned to get Android 4.0 ICS OS update. Dimension wise, it measures 4.2 × 2.2 × 0.6 inches and weighs 115 grams that is quiet heavier. This latest edition of Sony Ericsson comes with a 3.2” multi-touch scratch-resistant TFT capacitive display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. It sports 5-MP rear camera with LED Flash, Auto focus, Face detection, 8x digital zoom and 720p video recording, as well as VGA front-facing camera. It ships with 512 MB of RAM and 320 MB of on-board memory which can be extended up to 32GB through microSD card slot. It sports a 1,200 mAh battery which is expected to deliver talk time of up to 6 hours on 3G and up to 14 hours on 2G. When comes to connectivity, Live With Walkman features Bluetooth with A2DP, 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi with DLNA support. Other features include 3.5mm audio jack, Pre-Loaded 3D Games and FM Radio with RDS. There are two options for color selection: Black and White. As an opening offer, Sony Ericsson is presenting a premium headset worth Rs. 2000 for free together with the usual headset. SE has made a partnership with telecom operator Aircel for offering bundled data plans for the consumers of Live with Walkman. Consumers are provided with free 2GB mobile data for 1 month together with 3 hours of mobile TV. As well, Aircel 3G users are provided with download of 2050 MB, 500 local minutes of Aircel to Aircel calling, and 1000 local and national SMS on a recharge of Rs. 295. Aircel 2G users are provided with 600 local minutes of calling from Aircel to other networks, and the similar SMS and data benefits which 3G users get.
