In the world of smartphones, Samsung Stratosphere brings new excitement as this new Samsung smartphone has specifications that are ready to confront the iPhone 5. Samsung Stratosphere is believed to be the new iPhone 5 Rival as the upcoming Android handset is anticipated to come with Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network. Though iPhone 5 is titled as 4G phone, it may not come with the Verizon’s 4G LTE support because the price of the LTE chip is too high to go with Apple’s cost-efficient measures. Samsung Stratosphere is a QWERTY Slider phone from Samsung which is expected to be launched this September. The rumored specs of Samsung Stratosphere include 1GHz single-core processor, Super AMOLED Plus 480 x 800 pixels resolution display, pre-installed Android 2.3.4, 512MB of RAM, 2GB internal storage, 1800mAh battery, and 5-megapixel rear camera together with 1.3-megapixel front camera. The display size of the Stratosphere is not decided yet but if we look at the leaked pictures, it appears to come with 4-inch display screen. Compared to the iPhone 5’s rumored specs, which include 3.7-inch or 4-inch display, iOS 5, dual core processor, 8-megapixel camera, 768 MB or 1 GB RAM, and battery capacity resemble to close to iPhone 4, Stratosphere may look average but it can challenge to the Apple’s device with its Verizon’s 4G LTE support as well as in terms of price and battery specifications. Samsung Stratosphere is rumored to come at the price around $150 so it can be a very stiff competitor for iPhone 5. |
