Samsung has launched 3 new Smartphones: Samsung Omnia W Window Phone, Android- based Samsung Galaxy Y, Bada-based Samsung Wave 3 in India. The Samsung Omnia W and Wave 3 run on Windows Phone 7.5 ‘mango device’ and Bada 2.0 OS respectively and both are powered by 1.4GHz processor, While Galaxy Y runs on Android 2.3 operating system and powered by 832MHz Processor. Omnia W and Wave 3 include most of same features like 3.7 inch super AMOLED display, 5MP Auto focus camera with LED Flash and a VGA video calling camera. Samsung Galaxy Y has 3 inch TFT LCD display, 2 MP Camera, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, built-in GPS receiver. Wave 3 also incorporated with social Hub and Music Hub of Samsung that allows download and purchase of tracks and albums. The Samsung Omnia W will compete with Apple iPhone 3GS, Samsung Galaxy S, Nokia X7, and LG Optimus Black. Where as Wave 3 will compete directly with the Omnia W. The Galaxy Y measures 104 x 58 x 11.5 mm and weighing 97.5 g. The Galaxy Y, Samsung’s cheapest Android phone will be available at Rs. 7,830 in India. The weight of Wave 3 and Omnia W is 122 g and 115.3g respectively. The dimensions of Omnia W are 115.97 x 58.8 x 10.9mm and come with standard Li-on 1,500 mAh battery. The Samsung Wave 3 and Omnia 3 will be available at 19,600 and 19,990 respectively in India. |
