A new member of Galaxy S II family has been introduced recently by Samsung, in China. The name of this new member is Samsung I929 Galaxy S II Duos. The China telecom version of popular Smartphone comes with CDMA2000 and GSM support which make it the 1st Galaxy S II device to feature 2 SIM. There are only some differences between Samsung I929 Galaxy S II Duos and its regular S II. The price and date of sale is not revealed by the company until now. This version is somewhat thick and heavy, 8 mm and 132 grams respectively. Samsung I929 Galaxy S II Duos features 4.52 inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and micro USB. It comes with 8MP rear camera with LED flash, face & smile detection, Geo-tagging, image stabilization & full HD (1080p) video recording. It is also equipped with 2MP front camera for making and receiving video calling. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS but it is expected to get Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich update at the starting of 2012. It features bigger battery 1800mAh battery than 1.650mAh of the regular to provide extended talk time and standby. It has 16 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB through micro SD slot. It is still unknown whether the company will release this Smartphone in other countries or not. |
