Samsung Galaxy Stellar, an upcoming smartphone is expected to have a Verizon release. The device has been priced at $99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a contract of 2 years. Its price is low so it is expected to be an entry level handset. As the company has not revealed them, the specifications are still hidden.

The Galaxy Stellar will come with a ‘Starter Mode’ which indicates that this phone will be aimed at users upgrading from feature phones to smartphones for the first time. If this starter mode is similar to that on other phones, then users will not get the full Android experience at once. Instead, this mode will help them enter into the smartphone world, learning the basics tasks of the Android operating system before unlocking all of the features of the platform. It would be nice if the users are given the option to disable Starter mode when they feel to be ready to dive deeper into the Android world.

As per the Verizon listing, the Amazon App Store has been pre-loaded with the device. This app may be added in the Google Play Store too. Earlier, Verizon also has loaded up their devices with the Kindle and Amazon MP3 store apps. If it is so then it is really a bad replacement. This device will also have 4G LTE connectivity. For any more details, the android fans will have to wait.
