One more rumor has surfaced regarding the launch date and features of the much anticipated phone of the year “Samsung S III”. According to a report in South Korea’s Electronic Times News posted on 6th February, 2012, the Samsung is planning to keep the Galaxy S III just 7 millimeters thick. The company will be placing around 10-20 pieces of thinner parts to make the ‘Galaxy S III’ the thinnest version among all Samsung’s smartphones. Galaxy S III would be thinner and faster than its preceding version Galaxy S II. It was believed till now that the launch of this mystery smartphone will take place in April, 2012 but according to the latest news of the Electronic Times, the handset will enter the market in May, 2012. Besides these, one more interesting news has come up which stated that the company is preparing to follow up the Galaxy S III with another 7-8 variants of it in this year.
The ETNews has even mentioned that the ultra slim phone will run Ice Cream Sandwich and also will be equipped with high quality cameras and 3D capabilities. Even though the phone is as thin as 7 mm, it will have some networking components projecting outwards at the bottom part of the phone. The high quality cameras will include two cameras: an 8-megapixel rear camera and other a 2-megapixel front camera capable of 1080p video recording. It will be featured with a quad-core processor, 4G LTE connectivity, a Super AMOLED Plus HD show and 2GB of RAM. To know whether all these rumors are true or not, there is only one alternative - to wait until the official launch of Galaxy S III by the Samsung.
