A brand new "premium" smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Note has been recently announced by DJ Lee, Samsung's head of global sales and marketing, on September 1, 2011, at the electronics giant's IFA 2011 press conference. This device is designed to create a new kind of smartphone. Users can perform a lot of tasks that are usually connected with tablets, on this smartphone. To create a complete new user experience, core on-the-go advantages of different mobile devices are combined in this smartphone, and portability of smartphone is also maintained. Samsung Galaxy Note is featured with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), 5.3” WXGA (1280x800, 285ppi) HD Super AMOLED display, and a huge 2500 mAh battery. It is powered by 1.4 GHz dual core processor. This device also contains HSPA+ data, expandable memory upto 32GB, an 8MP rear camera and 2MP front-facing Camera. Samsung Galaxy Note is just 9.65mm thick, and its weight is 178 grams. It also contains Samsung's S Pen, a pressure-sensitive stylis, which is much similar to "magic pen" of the HTC Flyer. Users are allowed to create, edit and share with more style than ever before with this smartphone because it includes artistic freedom of a paper notebook and the advantages of technology and services of Samsung’s smartphone. Screenshot-taking and annotation are supported across all areas of the UI by this smartphone.
