Samsung Galaxy S III, one of the most anticipated devices of the year has finally arrived in India. The device has been talked about since it was launched on May 3 at Samsung Mobile UnPacked Event 2012. In fact, telecom operators worldwide have already pre-ordered over 9 million units of the device from the company. Now, Samsung India has started taking pre-orders for Galaxy S smartphone on the e-store of the company. Samsung has not revealed the price of the smartphone. However, consumers will have to pay a fixed sum of Rs. 2,000 to get in the queue for this much awaited smartphone.

The Galaxy S III comes with a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, EDGE/GPRS, DLNA, USB 2.0, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. The 8 MP camera comes with Autofocus, BSI sensor, LED flash and allows 1080p HD video recording. The 1.9 MP front facing camera offers a resolution of 720p for video chats. The device has 16/32/64GB internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card. A headphone socket along with an HDMI port is available. Many other useful features like S-voice, Direct call, Smart stay, Smart alert, S beam, Buddy photo share and Pop up play.

Pebble Blue and Marble White are two color options for the smartphone. As mentioned on Samsung India e-store, with every pre-order customer will also get an assured gift. The Rs. 2,000 amount (as the booking fee) is non-refundable but it will be adjusted in the final price and a free bluetooth headset will be given by the company. However, the terms and conditions do not guarantee the purchase. Also, there is no cancellation option if you want to change your mind. So, you have to think twice before placing an order. The price of S III is expected to be around 36,000 rupees.
