Nokia Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311: New Launch in Asha Series

Three new full touchscreen handsets are recently announced by Nokia. These new devices are the members of the Asha Touch family and identified as Nokia Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311. They are aimed at low to mid-range customers. Billion of users will get a rich smartphone-like experience with the use of these new devices as they offer fast internet connectivity, long-lasting battery life, social networking on the go, and an innovative, completely re-designed touch user interface. The three Asha series handsets will be powered by Nokia's home-brewed Series 40 operating system and a 1GHz processor.

Nokia Asha 305, the dual SIM phone will come with a 3 inch resistive touch screen with WQVGA resolution of 400 x 240 pixels. It will be featured with 2MP rear camera with video recording, Bluetooth 2.1, microSD card slot, microUSB 2.0 connector, 3.5 mm audio jack, accelerometer, music player, FM radio, and dual-band GSM/EDGE connectivity. Diameter of this device is 110.3 mm x 53.8 mm x 12.8 mm, while its weight is 98.3 grams. It will contain Built-in speaker and 1110mAh battery that will offer 528 hours of standby time. It will offer 40 free EA games and Nokia Browser. It will also come with Nokia Maps in the selected markets. But it will not contain Wi-Fi connectivity. This handset will come in four colors such as silver white, red, mid blue and dark grey. Nokia Asha 305 will be available in the second quarter of 2012 with a price tag of Rs.7,000 or in the €63 range.

Nokia Asha 306 will come with mostly similar features like Asha 305 but some features will be different like Asha 306 will be a single SIM phone. It will offer WLAN and video streaming over both GPRS and WLAN. This device will contain Wi-Fi connectivity for streaming music and videos as well as 1110mAh battery that will offer 600 hours of standby time. Similar to the 305, this handset will come in four colors such as aqua, gray, fuchsia and silver-white. Nokia Asha 306 will be available in third quarter of 2012 with a price tag of Rs. 8,000, or €68.

Nokia Asha 311 will come with a 1GHz CPU and 256MB of internal memory that can be expanded with a microSD card slot. This handset will be featured with a 3.2MP rear camera, a 3.0 inch capacitive touch screen display with WQVGA resolution, Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB port, pentaband WCDMA, a 3.5mm audio jack, accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. Its measurement is 106 mm x 52 mm x 12.9 mm and its weight is 95 grams. It will also features 1110mAh battery that offers 781 hours of 3G standby time and 4.5 hours of 3G talk time. This handset will also have 15 levels of Angry Birds pre-loaded onto the phone. This device will come in five colors such as Dark Grey, Rose Red, Blue, Brown and Sand White. Nokia Asha 311 will be available in third quarter of 2012 with a price tag of Rs. 10,500, or €92.
