On 27 February at the WMC 2012, in Barcelona, Nokia has unveiled its latest smartphone - the Nokia 808 PureView. The new handset is equipped with a surprising 41 megapixel camera with a Dolby Digital Plus audio. The camera supports autofocus and Xenon flash functions. It can shoot 34 mega pixels in an aspect ratio of 16:9 and 38 mega pixels in an aspect ratio of 4:32.
The smartphone flaunts a 4 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. With a dimension of 123.9 x 60.2 x 13.9 mm and 95.5 cc of volume, it weighs around 169 grams. The device runs on a Nokia Belle operating system and has a single core 1.3GHz processor. The device has 512 MB RAM, 16 GB of Internal Memory and the memory can be expanded through a microSD card. A microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB port are provided. It supports GSM / HSDPA Networks and features Bluetooth v3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS and EDGE as connectivity options. An HDMI port is available as well to share your videos on your PC, laptop or projector. It is powered by a 1400 mAH battery.
The handset will be available in 3 color options including black, white and red. There is no confirmed news about the availability of the Nokia PureView 808. But it is expected that the phone will be available in the markets during the 2nd quarter of 2012. The price of the handset is also not announced officially, but expected to be around 450 Euros or 35000 rupees.
