After the current year launch of the Droid X2, Droid 3, Droid Bionic and Droid RAZR, the next member of the Motorola’s Droid family is ready to hit the smartphone market very soon. In the latest leaked reports, the image and detailed technical specifications of the Motorola DROID 4 smartphone have been revealed. Its leaked specifications disclose that the Motorola Droid 4 has a very large display, dual-core processor, Verizon's 4G LTE network connectivity, edge-lit physical keyboard (5-row) and hi-res camera. It is expected to be launched early next month (December 2011).
It is really surprising that the Droid 4 would reveal just about five months following the launch of Droid 3. This smartphone will be first LTE version of Motorola's flagship Android smartphone. As per leaked info and specs, it looks like a mix-up of the Droid 3 and the RAZR. However, it’s some impressive features like 4G LTE connectivity, speedy processor and a more powerful battery makes it different from the Droid 3 and RAZR. The smartphone is packed with the legacy 5-row QWERTY keyboard, a 4-inch high resolution capacitive touchscreen display, Android 2.3 OS, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage.
Other features of the Droid 4 consists of WiFi, GPS, a front-facing HD video calling and rear 8 megapixel full HD cameras, 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB 2.0 port, micro HDMI and much more. The Droid 4’s price, specifications and release date has not been officially confirmed yet.
