Boost Mobile and LG have collaborated to announce their latest device called the LG Venice. This upcoming handset was announced on September 26. The LG Venice is believed to be Boost’s version of the LG Optimus L7, which launched earlier this year. The upcoming device is quite similar to the Optimus L7. It boasts a 4.3 inch WVGA display touch screen with 800 x 480 pixels screen resolution and scratch resistant Gorilla Glass protection. It has a body with a platinum finish on the rear and sides, and a black front with three physical buttons (home, back and menu).

 Release date, Price and Specs

The LG Venice is powered by a 1 Ghz Qualcomm MSM8655 Snapdragon single core processor and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The device is equipped with LG’s UI 3.0 user interface. There is a 5 megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 720p videos recording capability along with VGA camera at the front. The handset is just 125 x 67 x 9 mm in dimensions and weighs around 120 grams. On the memory side there is 768 MB RAM along with 4 GB of Internal storage space. The memory is expandable up to 32 GB via a memory card. The device comes with a 2 GB microSD included in it. The 1,700 mAh battery offers up to 10 days of standby and up to 9 hours of talk time.

Boost has combined the LG Venice with its no-contract $55 Android Monthly Unlimited plan. In this plan the users will get the freedom to talk, text, email and surf unlimited. So the monthly bill will reduce over the time, provided that the payments are made on time. Boost will shave $5 off the bill for every 6 payments made on time (no need to be consecutive). The price for all this is just $220, which does not looks like a bad deal. Boost Mobile plans to release the LG Venice on October 10 at Boost Mobile’s exclusive retail stores, select independent wireless dealer locations across the nation and at the online retail store of the company (BoostMobile.com) with free shipping. In late October, the device will be also available at other online retail stores like Radio Shack, BestBuy etc.
