One more leak about one more Phablet. This time it is an LG handset. Earlier this year, LG, the South Korean tech giant announced a smartphone called the LG Optimus Vu. The device is expected to launch this month. And now, some leaks (an image) regarding the sequel of the smartphone have been emerged over the internet. The new handset is being called as the LG Optimus Vu II. Some of the specs of the Optimus Vu II are similar to its predecessor.
As per the leaked specs, the LG Optimus Vu 2 will sport a 5 inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels. The Optimus Vu also has the same display. The new handset will also boast 16GB of internal storage space which will be expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. There will be two cameras; an 8 megapixel rear facing one and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. The device will be packed with a 2150mAh battery, which is a bit stronger than the Vu.
The handset will be running Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 Qualcomm MSM8960processor along with 2GB of RAM. On the connectivity side, there are WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, MHL, NFC and DLNA. A USB 2.0 port is also included. The Optimus Vu II is also being seen as a strong competitor of the recently launched Galaxy Note 2 phablet. Any other details regarding the price or availability of the handset have not been revealed yet.
