LG Optimus Slider popped up before few days on a Sprint product listing under the code name Gelato and expected to be released in this September. LG Optimus Slider (Gelato) is a candy bar phone and rumored to be a mid-range Android powered device. Its layout is largely unidentified yet, besides that it has a sliding QWERTY keyboard and operates at frequencies of GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 / UMTS 1700 / 2100 Mhz. Do you know the definition of the word ‘Gelato’? It means Italian ice cream so it is predicted that the Gelato can come pre-installed with the Android 2.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, disclosed at Google I/O 2011 event. LG may be adopting a strategy alike to the one engaged in late 2010 with its Optimus One line, which is a budget phone on almost all U.S. carrier that hordes nice-sized punch for the price. The first carrier to obtain the smartphone is said to be Sprint, followed by Verizon that may provide it under a diverse name. In nearly all carriers safe-zone, LG smartphones are searching a comfy zone so it’s no amaze that the Optimus makes way to all the four top international carriers. Unfortunately, price details and the Optimus Slider's hardware specs are not available now so there is no other option rather than to wait and see. |
