LG Optimus L5: Specs, Price and Release Date

LG has announced the launch of the stylish mid-range L-Series smartphone named LG Optimus L5. In a press release, LG has officially confirmed that the Optimus L5 smartphone will make its debut in European countries like U.K., Germany and France by the end of this month itself. Later it will head towards the markets of Asia, CIS, Middle East and then lastly in Central America and South America. The Optimus L5 will come with lots of exciting features including dual SIM capabilities (to be available only in CIS, Asia, Middle East, Central and South America) and NFC “Tag & Play” for peer-to-peer sharing and mobile commerce (only for North America and European markets). Unfortunately, LG has not revealed any info about the price of the smartphone. However, it is expected that Optimus L5 will come for an approximate price of €189.

Measuring just 9.5mm in thickness, this elegant smartphone will run on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System. Under the hood, the device will have an 800 MHz single-core processor. Plus, it will have a 4.0-inch capacitive touch-screen display with 480 x 800 pixels of resolution. Along with 512MB of RAM, the device will offer 4GB of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. The Optimus L5 will be a dual camera phone with a 5-megapixel rear facing camera and a 3.2-megapixel front camera. The camera will also have some useful features like geo-tagging, video recording and auto focus.

The new LG Optimus L5 will have a QuickMemo application that will enable the users to directly take notes without opening a separate app. The device will also offer some impressive set of connectivity options such as Bluetooth, WI-Fi, 3G, and microUSB. Besides these features, the Optimus L5 model from LG will be able to offer some great mobile casino games experience to all users. Moreover, it will be backed up with a powerful 1,500 mAh battery that can provide stand-by time of 900 hours on 2G and upto 810 hours on 3G.
