Intel and Lenovo have announced their first ever Intel-powered smartphone, the K800 at Tuesday’s keynote speech during CES 2012. The K800 is a 1.6GHz Intel Medfield-based smartphone, offered in a joint venture of Intel and Lenovo. This smartphone will utilize the Intel's Atom Z2460 platform, "Medfield". The Lenovo K800 will run on a 1.6GHz Intel processor with Hyper Threading technology and use China Mobile's 21Mbps network. An Intel XMM 6260 Platform chip is also included in it to provide it support for HSPA+ networks. The phone runs on Android with Lenovo's custom LeOS user interface that is especially designed for the Chinese market. It also includes a 4.5-inch 720p HD TFT display, an 8-megapixel camera, a WCDMA HSPA+ 21Mbps wireless radio, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and GPS onboard. It will also come with Intel wireless display technology (WiDi) onboard that allows screen sync to a TV at 720p30.
