ITG-a Chinese electronics maker has not given up on its xpPhone endeavor - namely, the Windows 7/Windows 8 OSes. Earlier, ITG put Windows XP on a Smartphone but now they are preparing a successor to its Windows XP-running Smartphone in the xpPhone 2, which uses Windows 8. The new version of the xpPhone, the xpPhone 2 has been released in China with Windows 7. When the phone will come in the market, they will also introduce xpPhone 2 with Windows 8. The xpPhone 2 is powered by 1.66GHz Atom Z530 processor that can be upgraded to 2GHz as well as 2GB of RAM which is double than current Smartphone. It is packed with a 112GB of SSD storage, VGA port through an adapter as well as it has 4.3-inch display. Its dimensions are 140mm x 73mm x 17.5mm. The battery life is also improved in xpPhone 2 as it will provide up to 18 hours of talk time and standby time up to 46 days. The xpPhone 2 will possibly run the beta OS as well as Windows 8 will be also great. Lastly, the device with Window 7 will be available in the January 2012 while the Window 8 is expected to come in the next year. |
