Yesterday Verizon accidentally leaked details and a release date for the HTC-manufactured Droid Incredible, a new smartphone packing enough hardware to sink a fleet of iPhones.
The Droid Incredible will have a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood, accompanied by 576MB RAM/512MB ROM and 8GB of built-in internal storage. It will also have the same 3.7-inch AMOLED display, with 480×800 pixels. As with the Nexus One, the Incredible will run Android 2.1.
Let's get back to this eight-megapixel camera thing. Eight megapixels! As Zeman notes, eight megapixels would put the Droid Incredible in the same territory as a lot of very expensive handheld cameras.
