Is GT-i9300 appears on Samsung site could be Galaxy S III?

A mystery model number has popped up on the Samsung’s official website. All are eager to know whether the unknown code GT-i9300 is of much awaited smart phone Galaxy SIII. The chance of being Galaxy SIII is very high as the model number GT-i9300 successively follows the various Samsung smartphone’s codes like GT-i9xx series of Galaxy S, GT-i91xx of Galaxy SII and GT-i92xx of Galaxy Nexus and Note. But we cannot be assured of this, as on clicking the device model number, no further information about the device is revealed which shows the possibility of turning out GT-i9300 to be some other impending handset or any deviation in current design of the smartphone.

The model number GT-i9300 is showed in the website’s driver, manual, software download page for a range of Samsung products and in the menu for smartphones. According to Samsung, they are still exploring various options with the device to make it more attractive and unique. So it is doubtful to see an official announcement of the launch of mystery model at Mobile World Congress which will be held from 27th February, 2012 to 1st March, 2012 in Spain.

There is also a possibility of Samsung being concerned about the fact that new and exclusive Galaxy SIII handset would affect the current Galaxy smartphone’s sales in the market and so they are delaying the launch of highly expected Galaxy SIII. Unfortunately, there is no other way to solve the mystery other than waiting for official launch of GT-i9300.
