Samsung has confirmed the rumors regarding the launch of a new Mini Samsung Galaxy S III. Furthermore details regarding the most anticipated Galaxy S III Mini are out on a German site, MobileGeeks. According to the head of Samsung Mobile Communications, JK Shin, there is a significant demand for the smaller version of Samsung Galaxy S III in Europe and the company will soon release the device at an event in Frankfurt, Germany. The device will have the model number GT- i8190 and it is designed similar to the original Galaxy S III. As per the rumor, Galaxy S III Mini will feature most of the high-end specs found on the current Samsung Galaxy S III. The device is expected to run on the latest version of Android Jelly Bean. It will sport a 4 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The handset will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The device will feature a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash. There will be a front facing VGA camera for video chat or conference. It will have an internal storage of 16GB, which can be expanded using microSD card slot. The device will get a battery of 1,500mAh. Samsung Galaxy S III Mini will feature a redesigned soft key below the screen and it might get NFC for mobile sharing and mobile payment systems. It is expected to measure a dimension of 121.6 x 63 x 9.9 mm. There is no word on the weight of the device. S III Mini will include Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, quad-band 2G and tri-band 3G with 14.4Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 HSUPA, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and microUSB port for connectivity.
