How to Extend a Volume or Partition on a hard disk in Windows 7

Important: To extend a Volume or Partition on your hard disk you must first have an unallocated partition. For this you must first delete a partition.

To extend a Volume or Partition on your hard disk in Windows 7 follow these simple steps:

1) Right click on the Computer icon on the Desktop and select Manage option

2) In the Computer Management window click to expand

Computer Management (Local)\Storage\Disk Management folder in the left pane

3) Now right click on the Partition or Volume to the left of the unallocated partition you want to extend and select Extend Volume… option in the middle pane
