Honda, one of the most popular car brands in the world, is all set to launch its first ever diesel variant for Indian market. Honda has officially confirmed that new model named Honda Brio Diesel will hit the market by this Diwali. Initially, the manufacturer was planning to launch the much awaited diesel variant by early 2013. However, on seeing the increasing demand of diesel cars, Honda decided to advance the launch of Brio Diesel. As of now, there is no official word yet about the price of this diesel variant but it is expected to come for price ranging from Rs. 4.8 Lakhs to Rs. 6.0 Lakhs. Under the hood, the Brio Diesel variant will have an all new 1.4-liter iDTEC diesel engine. It is expected to give impressive fuel economy of 18 Kmpl on city and 22.0 Kmpl in highways. The Brio diesel cars will comprise some innovative safety technologies including Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), dual SRS front airbags, and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) to improve the braking performance of the car.
