Treatment for Constipation

Constipation is when the bowel movements of the person are irregular and he has not had a bowel movement more than three times in a week. The stools would have become hard and extremely dry and they cannot be removed very easily from the body. Many people feel that constipation is a medical condition but in reality this is actually a symptom of something impending. An occasional occurrence of constipation need not be a cause for concern. This is something which happens quite often to pregnant women as well as women over the age of sixty-five.

Many people feel embarrassed to discuss the fact that they are suffering from constipation. In certain cases, this could lead to a lot of pain and distress for the patient.
