Symptoms and Treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

When the median nerve, which is present on your wrist, gets compressed, it causes a lot of pain, which keeps increasing in a progressive manner. This is known as carpal tunnel syndrome. This is very common condition, which is highly prevalent among people who perform some kind of repetitive motion with their hands and wrist like typing. The median nerve, which gets compressed, is responsible for the sensations which can be felt in the thumb, index finger, middle finger as well as the thumb side of the ring finger.

Causes of carpal tunnel syndrome

When the hand continues to perform some kind of repetitive activity at regular intervals like typing, it leads to the compression of the median nerve, which travels down the wrist of the person and then enters the palm. The main reason for the occurrence of this pain is the excessive use of the particular organ.
