Many healthy fruits are available during the summer months that help to increase your vitamin and fiber intake as well as satisfy your taste buds for something sweet. Some of the summer fruits contain free radical damaging property that may help to kill cancer cells while leaving healthy cells intact. Some studies in the United States have shown that summer fruits such as plums, peaches, straw­berry, black­berry and rasp­berry have capacity to fight against oesophageal can­cer, oral cav­ity and breast cancer.

Every year, 180,000 new cases are diagnosed with breast cancer and traditional treatments like chemotherapy helps to treat but have harmful effects also on healthy cells. Two kinds of antioxidants are present in plums and peaches that may help to kill cancerous cells of breast and leave healthy cells inside. The researchers also discovered that plums and peaches contain antioxidants as a competitor level to “superfood” blueberries. So, take advantage of these healthy summer fruits and keep cancer at bay.
