Study found WNT Protein to cure Gray Hair Naturally

Gray hair is one of the most noticeable signs of ageing that can be cured as per the researchers at New York University, who have claimed that root cause of grey hair have been discovered and now they are preparing for possible treatment of avoiding gray hair. Hair color is decided by hair follicle stem cells, which work together with melanocytes, color producing stem cells. However, scientists have recognized the specific protein, WNT by which pigmentation is coordinated in the two cell types.

Gray hair occurs when melanocyte stem cells have deficiency of protein as per a team of researchers from New York University Medical Centre. WNT protein guides both stem cells to develop hair follicles and a wholly dissimilar set of stem cells, called melanocytes that create color. The study was done on gray mice and the scientists have successfully turned it into black-haired mice by inhibiting the WNT pathway. The study was performed on mice because their hair is similar to human hair.
