The Sirtris Pharmaceuticals wants to discover more and more ways to help extend human life. So recently Sirtris Pharmaceuticals had done research over Resveratrol which is favorable to human life against some major problems.

What is Resveratro?

So First question arise that what is Resveratro? Resveratro is a phytolexin which produced naturally by several plants when under attack by pathogens such as bacteria or fungi. It has also been produced by chemical synthesis.

Sources of Resveratrol 

first sourced from ground dried grape skins and seeds its ingredient of red wine but now its largely derived from the Japanese knotweed which is less expensive and contains up to 187 mg/kg in the dried root. Japanese knotweed can grow in almost any climate and is much cheaper to grow than red grapes. Japanese knotweed is also known as the giant knotweed, monkeyweed and polygonum cuspidatum. Resveratrol is also found in many food sources such as grapes, blueberries, peanuts and cranberries.
