Reebok International has concurred to pay settlement for misleading consumers with false health claims. Reebok is liable to pay $25m customer refunds. As per the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, fancy Reebok EasyTone walking shoes and RunTone running shoes that promise to strengthen your legs and butt with every step may be just like ordinary sneakers as well as their claims are not supported by any scientific evidence. Customers, who bought EasyTone shoes can file online at ftc.gov/reebok by filling a Refund request form. Reebok has concurred to settle with the FTC to avoid a legal battle but they did not agree with the FTC's charges. According to the Adidas (the parent company of Reebok), they have got awesome feedback from 1000s of EasyTone customers and they will remain committed for the further development of their EasyTone line of products. In 2009, EasyTone line of products were introduced and till now the company sold over 5 million pairs of shoes from U.S. alone. |
