The definition of Myostatin Related Muscle Hypertrophy:

Myostatin Related Muscle Hypertrophy is defined as a person who has increased muscle size and reduced fat in the body. Myostatin causes the individual to have less development of muscles as it limits the growth of the tissue in muscles in the body. Myostatin has been found in humans, birds, fish and many other mammals. The individuals who are affected by Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy have double amount of muscle mass in the body than any normal person have in its body.

Causes and effects of Myostatin in the body:

Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy is caused due to transformation in the MSTN genetic material. The changes in the body are made due to the instruction given by the MSTN gene to make a protein named "myostatin". These proteins bring under control the growth of muscles and for the movement of skeletal muscles both after and before birth.

Testing of Muscles:

The thickness of the fat in the body is measured by caliper or other ultrasound various locations for which normal value exist. Skeletal muscle size can be measured by DEX A, MRI or ultrasound.

Additional Information about Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy:
