The Three "R's" of Environment Conservation
The Conservation of our resources is in the hands of every human being. Students require education the effect of recycling, reusing, and reducing has on our environment and what they can do.
"Three Rs" is a very illustrious expression used to describe the three ways one can help manufacture less waste and is often symbolized by three arrows, prearranged in a triangle.
- Reduce the amount of waste you produce.
- Reuse old items; donate to the unfortunate, repair if broken.
- Recycle as much as possible; buy recycled products to support recycling.
Reduce : Reduce the quantity to misuse you produce. People reduce by purchasing items that are durable and last a long time. By purchasing long lasting products with very small wrapping, you will reduce the amount of waste entering a landfill. Addition ways of reducing waste given below :
- Composting is a great way to dispose of kitchen waste. It’s healthy for the soil and less waste will go into the landfill.
- Buying products that do not need a lot of force and resources to produce. Look for products that contain environmentally friendly wrapping. - Reduce car use by riding your bicycle, carpooling with friends, walking, or taking the bus.
- Turn off the taps when brushing your teeth.
- Turn off lights that you’re not using them and use energy efficient light bulbs.
Reuse : Reuse old items; donate to the unfortunate, repair if broken. You can reduce misuse by reusing products. Reusing methods contain repairing damaged items, donating items to a creditable reason, or discovery an added way to use them. A few reusing tips given below :
- Use reusable lunch bags.
- Donate old clothes, furniture, and toys to a charity.
- Store food in reusable plastic containers.
- Use cloth grocery bags instead of plastic bags. They can be used repeatedly.
- Metal cans and plastic containers can be used for storing items.
- Use silverware and dishes instead of plastic utensils and plates.
Recycling : This process invovles making new products out of products. That means potential landfill waste becomes a new product. You can protect the environment by buying products that contain recycled materials. Many of the belongings we use every day are recycled. Recycled products contain: toilet paper, paper towels, paper bags, milk cartons and beverage bottles, cans and much more.
Reducing, reusing, and recycling helps lessen our impact on the environment and profit the community. By participating in the 3R agenda, you will feel good knowing that you are doing your part to leave a healthier planet for your children.
