According to this Indian Express article, the Jahangir Nursing Home in Pune, which was accused as being responsible for the first Swine Flu death in India; that of Reeda Shaikh has been absolved or blame for the fatality. On 3 August 2009, Reeda Shaikh, a 14 year old school student from Pune was the first Indian to die due to the H1N1 Swine flu virus and the family of the deceased girl had held the hospital responsible for negligence and inadequate / inappropriate treatment. |
