Genital warts, what are they? Genital warts are also known as condylomata acuminte or venereal warts. These are caused by the Human Pappiloma Virus or HPV which occurs generally around the genital area (cervix, anus, penis, scrotum, rectum, vulva and vagina). They are either flat or cauliflower-like shaped. People who do not practice safe sex and those with many sexual partners are at greater risk of getting infected. Genital wards mainly occur to young people at around 20 years of age. In the patient’s majority, home treatment can induce wart-free periods. If left alone and untreated, these genital warts might increase in size or number. Treatment may reduce but does not eliminate Human Pappiloma Virus (HPV) infection. Below are some Remedies which might help you on your problem.

Imiquimod 5% Cream:

Apply imiquimod cream up to 16 weeks, 3 times a week, once daily at bedtime. Wash the area to be treated with soap and water 6 to 10 hours after the application.

Vitamin E Oil:

Some genital warts may fall of over time. Apply vitamin E oil on infected skin and place some raw, crushed garlic over it. Cover them with an adhesive tape and the wart will fall within a week.

Diet:

Obtain a diet rich in beta-carotene and folic acids. Vegetables and fruits like mango, radish, and tomato which are yellow, red and orange in color. Dark green leafy vegetables like cabbage and spinach and others are highly recommended.

Milkweed Milk:

Sap from an injured milkweed plant would greatly help your body to eliminate genital wart virus (HPV). Dilute the milk to about 10% by using a quality lotion (preferably one that contains vitamin E and aloe) for it would be too strong if straightly applied to the infected skin. Continue this treatment twice a day for 2 weeks and your genital warts will disappear.

Hydrogen Peroxide:

Apply hydrogen peroxide with a cotton ball every time you go to the bathroom. Applying may sting a bit as in any other area.

Castrol Oil:

Discomfort can be reduced by applying castor oil on the infected area.

Vinegar:

Vinegar, particularly apple cider vinegar, may also be used in treating the infection.

If these home remedies does not help you and you want to have your genital warts removed quickly, then you have these options. For smaller genital warts: Cryosurgery (freezing them off), Electrocautery (burning them off), and Trichloracetic Acid (TCA). Larger and harder to remove genital warts may need to be removed through laser surgery.
