As per the reports, ViewSonic is planning to unveil a new 22 inch Android tablet. Engadget has revealed that the company has sent a teaser for its "Touch and Connect" series prototypes, which include a 22 inch ‘smart business tablet monitor’. It is believed that the ViewSonic 22 inch Android tablet is to be powered by Google’s latest Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich. The company may officially unveil the new tab on 5th June at Computex 2012. It looks more like a touchscreen monitor with an Android computer which built into its chassis than a really giant tablet. Generally, the tablet is a portable device but this tab makes one wonder how can they manage to port this giant tab. The company calls it a “smart business tablet monitor,” and it is being promoted as "Touch and Connect" series tablet. Touch definitely means the touch interface, but it is not clear what the company is trying to indicate with keyword "Connect". It may be mean to the superior connectivity feature such as 4G LTE network support. The 22-inch tablet has probably been designed for business usage and it is likely to be available at a price of $1000. Apart from the screen size of the tab, no other details have been revealed yet. ViewSonic also hinted with some other products which will be launched at the Computex event. The company is expected to release an interactive electronic billboard, a new cloud computing solution, a Windows 8 multi-touch device and high-end laser protectors. The techies will have to wait for the Computex event at Taipei for more details. |
