Toys R Us has publicized that it is planning to launch a tablet computer for kids, who are 5 years of age and older. This kid friendly tablet, named Tabeo, will come in stores on October 21, 2012 with the price tag of $149.99. This 7-inch, multi-touch tablet will contain "kid safe" content. It will include 4 GB of internal flash memory that can be expanded up to 32GB with the use of a micro SDHC card. This device will be featured with 50 free, preinstalled apps to entertain and teach kids. Tabeo will be powered by 1GHz processor to make gaming fast and fun, as well as it will run on Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Toys R Us is also starting an app store for this kid friendly tablet. Children are allowed to surf the internet and Flash-enabled Websites with the help of Wi-Fi in this multi touch tablet. This tablet can be connected with the TV through its HDMI port. It will feature a front-facing camera to take and share special moments. It will also have 50 preloaded games, books and educational apps. Angry Birds, Collapse!, Cut the Rope, Fruit Ninja, Temple Run, 100 Floors, Tiki Golf and Tiki Cart 3D like around 20 preloaded apps for game will be included in this tablet. Children can learn about math, letters, science and other subjects with the help of nearly 10 apps on this device. Tabeo will contain softwares such as Discovery Kids Putterbugs, AlphaTots, Operation Math and TechCalc, with five more learning apps. For entertainment, it will have creativity, cooking, photography, and activity apps like Putt Putt Zoo, Stolen Shell, Freddy Fish, and Camera App. This tablet will also have Candy Factory, iStorybooks and Little Red Riding Hood. A drop-safe bumper will defend the tablet. Parents can block objectionable Web sites by using its specific controls. This tablet will also assure a robust battery life that offer 10 hours for Internet use, and 6-7 for video content. |
