Toyota's new navigational system uses a Nintendo DS as remote control

Portable game console, Nintendo DS” is coming as remote control of navigation system as recently Toyota has shown off its upcoming Smart Navi car navigational system at a press conference in Tokyo that uses Nintendo DS as its remote control. The new navigational system allows drivers and passengers to turn the Nintendo DS game console into a Navi remote control as well as gives map and even sightseeing info. The name of latest navigational system is “Kuruma de DS,” which enables users to save places on the Nintendo DS as well. Maybe it will be launched on 1 June in Japan.

The Kuruma de DS game card is offered with Bluetooth technology, so owners of DS can easily connect the gaming handheld with the car and use it as a remote control. On this latest system, drivers and passenger can keep an eye on the vehicle’s speed, get quizzes and also pipe the DS’s sound via car speaker. The Kuruma de DS system gives an interface with Nintendo Mii characters. The latest navigational system of Toyota is available at the price of ¥206,850 (US$2,586). You must purchase Kuruma de DS separately from Toyota whose price is ¥7,329 ($92). You need to purchase Nintendo DS, if you don’t have it.
